Founded in 1996, A&V Electric Company has served the Southeast Georgia and Carolina Lowcountry region for a quarter-century.

Local owner Ray Nease has more than 38 years of experience in commercial and residential electrical installation and service. After many years as the associate director of engineering and maintenance with Memorial Medical Center, Ray capitalized on a unique opportunity and began A&V Electric Company with a single truck and his cousin as a business partner.

Ray went on to become the sole owner and operator in 2012, and has since built a team of 30 dedicated and licensed electricians, operating a fleet of vehicles.

A&V Electric continues as a family-owned business with second-generation management leading the way for the next 25 years and beyond.

Ray attributes this success in business to always putting the customer first and standing by his word and work. In such a competitive market, the standout employees and commitment to quality have been the key to A&V Electric’s successful growth.

A&V Electric is based in Savannah, Georgia, and serves the residential, commercial, industrial, marine and healthcare markets.

Marc Decoteau is an apprentice at A&V Electric originally from Trinidad. He works hard to get the job done every day. Decoteau also recognizes the company’s skill at organizing the right people for the job, as well as the supportive family atmosphere. Decoteau takes pride in doing quality work and plans to earn his license. He volunteered to help remodel a local school and enjoys DJing and spending time with his son.

Danny Dunn is a supervisor and crew leader with more than 25 years in the industry. He welcomes the camaraderie of his coworkers and the responsiveness of the office, and believes it makes him a better manager and problem solver. A native of Interlachen, Florida, Dunn is a custom car and hot rod enthusiast.

Walter Edwards is an experienced electrician and manager with 33 years in the industry. The teamwork, management style and office support are just some of the things he likes about working at A&V Electric. He also recognizes the volume of work and the security it provides. In his spare time, Edwards is a fan of NASCAR and deer hunting.

Jason Hagan is a native of Savannah who graduated from the University of Georgia with a double major in mathematics and economics. After nearly 20 years building multiple residential service businesses, he joined  Vaden Automotive Group. There, his management and construction experience served him well as he rose from facilities director to president of real estate and facilities, maximizing profits and property acquisitions. He now serves as the Vice President of Business Development at A&V Electric Company, working on expanding the company’s reach to meet its long-term goals.

In his spare time, Hagan devotes time to Savannah Christian Preparatory School, loves the outdoors, cooking, anything to do with the University of Georgia, and he is a member of the Savannah Yacht Club.  He has 3 children (Anna 22, Kate 21, Jay 20) and has been married to his lovely wife, Laura, for over 25 years and they love to travel together.

Stephen Hartley has spent his entire eight years in the industry at A&V Electric. He takes great satisfaction in the family atmosphere at the company, describing it as a home away from home. He plans to work hard and retire early. When not working, Hartley likes to spend time with his two sons.

Lonnie E. “Gene” Holloway has a remarkable 45 years of experience in the industry, the last eight with A&V Electric. He strongly approves of the management team and style, and enjoys the freedom to express himself in his work. Holloway spends leisure time on home improvement projects and lives in Metter, Ga., with his family.

Myles Horton is an apprentice with six years of industry experience, all at A&V Electric. A native of Guyton, Ga., Horton likes the camaraderie of the staff, both in the field and in the office. He is interested in owning his own company one day, and plays golf in his free time.

Austin Jacob is an apprentice who joined A&V Electrical in 2017. He is grateful for the people he works with, the everyday learning experiences and the feel of family at the company. Jacob is determined to build his career and become a trusted leader. His hobbies include motorcycles, graphic design, programming and advocating for Autism Speaks.

James Love is an electrician who manages field workflow for fire alarm and HVAC projects. He’s been with A&V Electric since early 2016 and says the company is a tight-knit group of hard workers committed to quality work. Love donates his time to the cancer charity Jet’s Cure, and enjoys being with his son, motorcycles, soccer and tattoo art.

George Moremile is an apprentice at A&V Electric specializing in installations. He appreciates the collaborative spirit of his coworkers and the company’s flexibility and generosity. His goal is to be a master electrician. Moremile enjoys spending time with his son and playing video games.

Jordan Nease is the administrative assistant and office guru at A&V Electric headquarters in Savannah. She handles timesheets, invoices, filing and more. The daughter of the company founder, her commitment to the firm’s success is in her blood. Nease is a movie buff and plays video games in her spare time.

Davy Smith is a mechanic who joined A&V Electric in 2017. He focuses on completing his work safely and on time to satisfy the customer. He cites management and fellow staff members as the highlights of the company. With 10 years of experience, his goal is to become a supervisor. Smith is a devoted husband and father, and in his free time, coaches youth baseball and enjoys boating.

Jeff Smith has been a trusted employee for more than six years performing electrical installations. He has been an electrician for 22 years and welcomes the volume of work at A&V Electric. He believes his vast experience is a great asset to the company. Originally from Savannah, Smith is working towards earning his electrical license.

Sean Sullivan is an apprentice specializing in low voltage projects. He is pleased with the exposure to different types of electrical work he sees at A&V Electric, and is committed to gaining knowledge and experience to further improve his performance. A native of Atlanta, Sullivan is often found hiking or gardening when not working.

Ronnel Valentine is an Lead Electrician who hails from Les Cayes in Haiti. He praises A&V Electric for the constant daily learning and for always equipping the teams properly. Valentine’s natural curiosity pairs well with the company culture. He helps seniors in need and spends his free time with his family and fishing.

Jerimy Winston hails from Burlington, New Jersey. New to A&V Electric, but with two-and-a-half years experience, he works as an apprentice. His goal is to earn his electrical license and get on his own truck. He appreciates the constant learning and problem solving of his work. Winston volunteers his time helping the elderly, and enjoys playing games and spending time with his son.

Jerome Ervin is a native of The Bronx, New York. He arrived at A&V Electric with ten years of experience and is an advanced technician. Ervin admires the company spirit of doing whatever it takes to get the job done, and believes the team will only help him get better. Ervin enjoys relaxing in his spare time.

Shane Jones is an advanced apprentice working on installation projects. He cites the easy access to management and his crew members as benefits of working at A&V Electric. His goal is constant improvement and to get on his own truck. Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Jones is happy spending leisure time on the water boating and fishing.

Matthew Joseph is an advanced technician specializing in code-intensive work. Relatively new to A&V Electric and the industry, he is grateful for the countless coworkers with great experience who teach him new things every day. He hopes to eventually be in his own truck. In his leisure time, Joseph plays Airsoft and likes to fish. He lives in Rincon, Ga., with his wife and daughter.

Patrick Nesmith is an electrician with 14 years of experience. He believes A&V Electric is a great company to work for and learns new things regularly, even with his vast experience. He plans to work hard towards a comfortable retirement. Nesmith reads about investing in his spare time and is married with three sons.

Wilberforce Williams is originally from Trinidad and Tobago and has been in the industry for 40 years. Since joining A&V Electric in 2017, he is most impressed by the team and the respect they command. He says it is the best he’s ever seen. Outside of work, Williams shares his skill and talent with people in need. He enjoys soccer and is father to 16 children.

Tavares Worthy is an electrician and mechanic specializing in hospital maintenance. Originally from Tampa, Florida, Worthy appreciates the family atmosphere and organization of A&V Electric. His goal is to become a master electrician and a homeowner. Worthy enjoys spending time with his four children, travel, dining out and fishing.

From the many large industrial construction projects to basic residential needs like recessed lighting or ceiling fan installations, the A&V professional electricians approach each job with the same quality and craftsmanship, and each customer with the same courtesy and respect.
